Cool Ranch Fries

cool ranchersss.jpg

Cool Ranch Doritos and Nacho Cheese Doritos were my favorite dorito flavors when i was a little kid still eating the ol classic junk food...i dont know that kids ate any other dorito flavors besides those two though? is it bad that i relate so much to who i was as a KID? i once went to the dorito factory for an elementary school field trip! it was soooo cooool to me that my school did that, but now i have a completely attitude about it, but, that's a conversation for another time!

Cool Ranch Fries are coated in dill, lime juice, and some dried garlics and onions and are waaaay better for you than the chips and just as delicious!

Dipping in a side of ranch could be extra wild, something i would do!

You can watch me make them (no pressure) here:

1/2 bag frozen french fries

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon yellow cornmeal

1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes

1/4 cup fresh dill, de-stemmed and chopped

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon dried minced garlic

1/2 teaspoon dried minced onion

1 tablespoon onion powder

2 tablespoons lime juice

2 teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cook french fries for about 12 minutes, or until done.

  2. While fries are baking, combine all other ingredients in a medium mixing bowl until incorporated.

  3. Remove fries from pan and transfer to a large mixing bowl. Add the ranch coating to the fries and toss until fries are evenly coated.

  4. Transfer back to the baking sheet and bake for three more minutes. Remove from oven and let cool a few minutes before eating.
